Psychologist

Dr Katie Cunnah

I’m driven by curiosity and by a deep love of understanding what sits beneath the surface of people’s experiences.

I was the child who always asked “but why?” and I’ve built a career around curiosity. People, emotions and relationships fascinate me, which is why psychology suits me. Fourteen years in, the work is endlessly enriching, especially when it helps people see their situations in a new, more empowering, light.

As an organisational psychologist, I’m committed to evidence-based practice and clear thinking, and also to the human side of the work. I love helping people reflect, connect and make sense of gaps between organisational intention and their experience. My path wasn’t linear: I was a musician and teacher first, and I still write and produce music today. I’ve also run several businesses. Those experiences taught me how to listen, read a room and work with empathy and pragmatism.

I met Graham at a Deborah Meaden talk at Glastonbury Festival, which felt fitting. Arrisan’s values and approach instantly resonated. Today, much of my work centres on collaborating with clients, teams and leaders to develop insights that have genuine, practical impact.

Outside work, you’ll find me on mountains, moors or in the sea with my dog charging ahead, and a hot chocolate waiting in the campervan. Time outdoors has taught me resilience, not toughness, and that you can face any challenge one step at a time.
