Use of training materials

1. About our terms

These terms apply to anyone who takes part in training provided by Arrisan Ltd (“Arrisan”, “we”, “us” or “our”) or uses materials provided in connection with that training. They explain the permitted use of our training sessions and associated materials, including handouts, learning aids, presentations, workbooks, recordings and other resources (“materials”).

Arrisan Ltd is registered in England and Wales with company registration number 14200341 with its registered office at Mansion House, Manchester Road, Altrincham, Cheshire, England, WA14 4RW.

Where we have a separate written agreement with a client, that agreement takes precedence in the event of any inconsistency with these terms.

2. What our materials are, and are not

Our materials are designed to support learning and understanding. They summarise general principles and may simplify complex subjects for training purposes. They are not legal, regulatory or other professional advice, nor are they intended to provide a comprehensive account of any subject.

3. Permitted use

Unless otherwise agreed, materials are provided for participants in the relevant training session or programme, and for any additional internal use we have expressly authorised.

Without our prior written permission, you must not:

  • distribute materials beyond their intended audience or publish them externally, including on websites or social media;

  • sell, reproduce (except as reasonably necessary for their authorised use), adapt or commercially exploit the materials, or present them as your own work;

  • upload materials to external AI tools or other services that may retain, reproduce, train on or redistribute their content.

Please contact us if you would like permission to use our materials more widely.

4. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in our materials, including our proprietary tools, frameworks, methodologies and assessments, remain with Arrisan or the relevant rights holders.

You may retain and refer to materials for their authorised purpose. No ownership rights or additional licences are transferred unless expressly agreed in writing.

Where materials incorporate third-party content, that content remains subject to the rights of its respective owners and any applicable licence conditions.

5. Recordings and confidentiality

Training sessions must not be audio-recorded, video-recorded, transcribed or summarised using automated or AI tools (including AI note-takers) without our prior written agreement.

Participants may discuss sensitive or confidential situations during training. We ask everyone to respect the confidentiality of information shared by other participants and organisations, except where disclosure is authorised or required by law.

6. Reliance and liability

Our materials are general learning resources, not advice on any particular situation. You should consider whether they are relevant to your circumstances and take appropriate professional advice before acting on them.

Where we have a written agreement with your organisation, any limits on our liability are set out in that agreement. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss arising from use of, or reliance on, our materials.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or where it would otherwise be unlawful to do so.

7. General

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will apply prospectively, subject to any existing written agreement.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
